There are a range of awards recognising young people in the Northern Territory. They range from business awards to the community involvement awards.

Young Achiever Awards

Managed by Awards Australia, the NT Young Achiever Awards recognise those young Territorians who have contributed positively to their communities.

Minister for Territory Families Excellence in Youth Leadership Award

The Minister for Territory Families Excellence in Youth Leadership Award is sponsored by the Office of Youth Affairs. This Award recognises young Territorians who have displayed initiative, innovation, a commitment to themselves and others, and the pursuit of excellence in a leadership capacity.

The Young Achiever Awards also recognises young Territorians in the following categories:

• Northern Territory Government Young Carer's Award

• Northern Territory Government Young Aboriginal Educator Award

• Northern Territory Government Small Business Achievement Award

• Genesee & Wyoming Indigenous Achievement Award

• Somerville Community Services Award

• PTTEP Health and Wellbeing Award

• Charles Darwin University Arts Award

• Glencore McArthur River Mining Regional and Rural Initiative Award

• Zip Print Sports Award

• ConocoPhillips Environment Award

• Australian Super Career Kick Start Award

The winner of each category will receive $2000 and a magnificent trophy, courtesy of TIO. One of the 12 category winners will be chosen as the 2018 NT Young Achiever of the Year and will receive an additional $2,000 and a Territory trophy from TIO.
