National Youth Week (or NYW) is an annual celebration of young people across Australia and means a range of fun and exciting events and activities are hosted around the Territory.
NYW 2016 ran from 8 to 17 April and was a huge success, with over 4800 young Territorians participating in over 70 events held across the Territory.
NYW 2017 will run from 31 March until 9 April. The 2017 theme is Dream Big!

The Office of Youth Affairs has two copies of the poster available for download below, a generic poster for distribution at your workplace, school or organisation and an event poster. The event poster will allow event organisers who aren't able to create their own poster the opportunity to add their event details.
If you are planning on running an event or activity for NYW 2017 the Office of Youth Affairs can help promote it. The Office will add your event on our NYW Calendar of Events (to be released in March 2017) and also promote your event on social media.
Simply complete the below form to register your event and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
All registered NYW events can request free merchandise from our Office. The 2017 merchandise available is reusable water bottles and sunglasses. T-shirts are also available to event organisers.
Please note there is a limited amount of merchandise available for distribution. The Office of Youth Affairs will endeavour to cater towards your event based on the overall allocation of NYW resources.
