National Youth Week 2016

From 8 to 17 April 2016 the Territory will come alive again to celebrate National Youth Week!

National Youth Week (or NYW) is an annual celebration of young people across Australia and means a range of fun and exciting events and activities are hosted around the Territory.

If you're aged between 12 and 25 years make sure you get involved! NYW is the perfect opportunity to:

  • share ideas
  • attend events
  • have your voice heard on issues of concern to you
  • showcase your talents
  • take part in competitions
  • have fun!

Pritika Desai, 24 years and from Darwin, is the Territory's ambassador for National Youth Week 2016 and is involved in planning, promoting and attending events and activities. Make sure to keep an eye out for her when you are out and about.

National Youth Week is a national initiative and involves young people, governments, local organisations and service providers working together. The Office of Youth Affairs coordinates the week making sure it gets bigger and better every year.
